The Sheriff, elected in 2022 with the assistance of the former disgraced Sheriff Laurie Smith along with many of her constituents, helped to vote Bob Jonsen into office. A majority of the public had no idea of his background and his direct involvement in Civil Rights Violations from Southern to Northern California.
